Our good friends over at LCRC Raceway got in touch with us to lets us know they are hosting the 1/8th, 4wd SC ROAR Electric Off-Road Nationals. They have recently released the flyer for the 2013 1/8th, 4wd SC ROAR Electric Off-Road Nationals, which will be held on August 1st – 4th. The deadline for registration is July 24th. Pro-Line: Proton 2.2″ MC (Clay) Off-Road Buggy Rear Tires

This is a pair of Proton 2.2” Buggy Race  Tires. The next generation of bar tire performance is here: the Pro-Line Proton! Based off of the incredibly successful V1 Suburbs design, the Proton achieves improved performance and durability on a wider range of track surfaces. Indoor 1/10 scale Off-Road racing has taken off around the world but the traction conditions can vary wildly from loose and dusty to super wheelie traction. Tekno RC Sweeps DE/Panther Racing Spring Series

Tekno RC Sweeps DE/Panther Racing Spring Nationals Series

San Diego RC Raceway has been host to the 1st annual DE/Panther Racing Series this year and it has been a huge success. Being based in San Diego, Tekno RC showed up in force. Barry Baker finished the series with a 1st place overall in both 1/8th Buggy and Pro4. Barry’s EB48 and SCT410 were flawless for the series. But Tekno RC drivers didn’t stop there. Josh Bertrand and Pres Ilog continued the series podium sweep in 1/8th Buggy, finishing 1st and 2nd overall with their EB48′s.

In Pro4 the results were similar and Tekno RC would claim the entire podium again. Pres Ilog finished 2nd place and Charles Dunn finished up the series in 3rd. All podium finishes were made with the Tekno RC SCT410. We’d like to congratulate all of our drivers on their wins and thank San Diego RC Raceway for hosting the series.

At the 2013 ROAR 1/8th Gas Off-Road Nats warm-up a couple of weeks ago. Some video surfaced of Gordon Tessmann and Matt Sistrunk aka Puddin having a tire gluing competition. We contacted the good ole’ boy from the south Big Puddin himself and asked him to youtube this clip so we can share it on RCInsider.com! As some of you already know, Puddin already has a show on Facebook called the “Big and Bigger Show“. Puddin hosts the show with Courtney Tate. If you have some spare time check out their page, they have some interesting content!

2013 Neo Race – Announcement, Entries Open

2013 Neo Race – Announcement, Entries Open

Our good friends over at Neo Buggy got in touch with us earlier this morning and wanted us to share their info on the upcoming 2013 Neo Race. Neo Buggy & DXR are pleased to officially announce entry for the 2013 Neo Race is now open, unofficially called the ‘1/8 buggy Indoor Worlds’ due to the highest calibre of racers the event attracts year after year.

The 8th running of the Neo Race sees a few changes, the biggest include a date change from the regular Easter slot to a summer event: 22-26th August 2013; knowing the British weather as we do, the roof will probably come in handy though! The Agricultural College Harper Adams in Shropshire is once again the venue for the event, now 5 days in length with increased track time for all participants as well as a special 1/8 electric buggy class – limited to 30 drivers, the main nitro buggy class is limited to 250 entries. Not to mention a cool new style of logo for the event, designed by Maugrafix!

Qualifying will use 6 minute heats and the best four rounds from six will count. After the success of the special races in the past they return with a few additions; juniors final, oldies final, the Dash4Cash for the top qualifiers, Bash4Cash, Last Chance Qualifier and a ‘Pole Position Challenge’ – details revealed soon.

The organisers hope to once again welcome some of the finest 1/8 Buggy drivers to attend this prestigious annual event. Enter via www.RC411.net, see the ‘Sign Up page’ for details how to enter.
