That “from the ground up” approach has resulted in motors acclaimed for exceptional performance and reliability, and recently powered vehicles that TQ’d and won 2 different classes at the CRCRC Midwest Championships, as well as 1st place at the ChiTown Shootout.

We want to thank our good friends at Hobbico for sending these products to us over the past couple of months… This event is a good platform for us to review and look at these products! We of course will have a few shirts and hats on hand for their raffle… RCInsider.com is looking forward to being apart of this event, so stay tuned for updates from the 2nd Annual Mad Cow Bash!

This past weekend Traction Hobbies & Raceway hosted the 2013 Traction Hobbies Showdown. Nevada’s largest indoor off-road radio controlled raceway. The facility is boasts over a 12,000 square feet of space with a 6800 square foot off-road track. With the “best layout ever” installed for the big annual race, racers from all over the region would converge for some of the areas best racing. With fast guys all competing for the top positions it was sure to be “game on” in the mains.

One of the heaviest contested classes at any major event was dominated by DE Racing’s Justin “Moony” Moon. Moon would go on to TQ all 4 rounds of qualifying over some of the fastest drivers in the region. His DE Racing Borrgeo wheel equipped Team C buggy was on rails while using AKA tires.  Justin would lead from tone to tone from his P1 qualifying position letting the rest of the field duke it out for remainder of the positions. Moon would be joined on the podium by Eddie Bernal and AE’s Chris Jarosz.

The 4wd SC division was a fight from the tone. DE Wheel equiped Lou Figueria(Tq) would be pressured into a mistake early on allowing P2 Chris Irelan to get by. Figueria would catch back up taking back the position after a bobble from Irelan and continue to the end to take the win. Figueria would be joined by DE Wheel equipped Cameron Kerndt on the podium. Both driver chose the DE Racing Borrgeo SC wheels.
