Our good friend Gary Wright of the Midwest Nitro Series got in touch with  us today to let us know about a new R/C documentary teaser video by Logan Hall. Logan who has been filming R/C racing for awhile now is based in the Midwest. The documentary video has been recorded at Midwest Nitro Series events. Logan will be filming more events this summer, focusing on the nitro side of R/C. Stay tuned for more as we watch this documentary develop…!

At the 2013 ROAR 1/8th Gas Off-Road Nats warm-up a couple of weeks ago. Some video surfaced of Gordon Tessmann and Matt Sistrunk aka Puddin having a tire gluing competition. We contacted the good ole’ boy from the south Big Puddin himself and asked him to youtube this clip so we can share it on RCInsider.com! As some of you already know, Puddin already has a show on Facebook called the “Big and Bigger Show“. Puddin hosts the show with Courtney Tate. 2013 Neo Race – Announcement, Entries Open

Our good friends over at Neo Buggy got in touch with us earlier this morning and wanted us to share their info on the upcoming 2013 Neo Race. Neo Buggy & DXR are pleased to officially announce entry for the 2013 Neo Race is now open, unofficially called the ‘1/8 buggy Indoor Worlds’ due to the highest calibre of racers the event attracts year after year.

The 8th running of the Neo Race sees a few changes, the biggest include a date change from the regular Easter slot to a summer event: 22-26th August 2013; knowing the British weather as we do, the roof will probably come in handy though! The Agricultural College Harper Adams in Shropshire is once again the venue for the event, now 5 days in length with increased track time for all participants as well as a special 1/8 electric buggy class – limited to 30 drivers, the main nitro buggy class is limited to 250 entries. Not to mention a cool new style of logo for the event, designed by Maugrafix!

Qualifying will use 6 minute heats and the best four rounds from six will count. After the success of the special races in the past they return with a few additions; juniors final, oldies final, the Dash4Cash for the top qualifiers, Bash4Cash, Last Chance Qualifier and a ‘Pole Position Challenge’ – details revealed soon.

The organisers hope to once again welcome some of the finest 1/8 Buggy drivers to attend this prestigious annual event. Enter via www.RC411.net, see the ‘Sign Up page’ for details how to enter.

BMiller Racing Stock VS Mod Buggy Challenge

In a continuing journey to present different ways to enjoy RC car racing, BMiller Racing hosted the first-ever BMiller Racing Stock vs. Mod Buggy Challenge on May 10 as part of the weekly Friday Night Nats program at LSR Speedway in Sacramento. Featuring many of the area’s top electric buggy drivers, the BMiller Challenge was a five-minute dash comprised of the top five qualifiers in both 17.5 Expert Buggy and Pro Mod Buggy, placed in teams of two based on qualifying position, and then positioned on the grid in inverted order. As a result, the TQ in Pro Mod Buggy started in the #10 spot on the grid and was matched up on a team with the slowest 17.5 qualifier, who would start on the pole.

A Main Hobbies released a teaser video showing The Dirt’s Joey Christensen getting started with the track design for Silver Dollar RC Raceway . Silver Dollar RC Raceway will be the host venue of this year’s 2013 IFMAR 1/10 Electric Off-Road Worlds as well as 1/10th Electric ROAR Nats and Worlds Warm-Up which will takes place next month.
