The 2011 JBRL Electric Series wrapped up this past Saturday at Hot Rod Hobbies in Saugus, CA. The overall points leader in each of the 14 classes will be receiving a new R/C kit provided by Team Losi Racing the title sponsor of the 2011 JBRL Electric Series. If you are a chassis sponsored driver your unavailable for the kit which means the kit will go to the driver in the class with the most points who is a non sponsored chassis driver…
Unfortunately, I was unable to attend this weekends event due to the Occupy Protests in San Diego this past weekend… On Friday morning around 2:00am over 50 people were arrested in downtown San Diego and my weekend turned into a very interesting one to say the least. No, I wasn’t arrested I was shooting live shots all weekend for the local news… However, our Northern California photographer John Flint and his ace reporter Suzanne Flint made the trip to the final Rnd of the JBRL Electric Series to capture the final pictures and a couple of sidebar bar stories. I hear my mom turn marshalled this weekend! Were’s that video!

We were told a race report was on the way from Team Serpent but haven’t received it yet… Since there is very limited info coming from the FAMAR Cup / SudAmericana race in Chile, we decided to go ahead and post a few of the pictures sent to us by Team Serpent. We were told Hot Bodies driver Jesse Robbers took the win in the buggy class, closely followed by Serpent’s Billy Easton, who we already showed you his winning truggy pics over the weekend…

Last weekend, the 5th round of competitive Madrid Championship was held at ARAH track. Some of the best drivers from Spain attended,including five of the twelve Spanish Finalist Championship drivers, which were taking part in the event. Alberto Garcia managed his Cobra 811 to get enough points to retain the title he already won last year, improving the performance from last season, and securing the title with still one round to go! With this new title for Serpent, Alberto García is finishing the season on fire, after finishing second at the 4th Rnd. Nationals very close to win, and being Madrid Champion 2nd year in a row.
